There is no god.
Well, I guess we won't know until we die!
Hi.I just posted this to another post, but I want to copy it here too:There is a God. Just ask yourself, "Where did the universe come from?" God! The universe didn't just pop into being or always exist. The eternal God--the Lord--He made it all. He spoke everything into being by His incredible power and might. The Bible is true. The prophecies in it are true. It was written by 40-some authors over a 1600 year period in 3 languages and it has one consistent message: there is a God! Even just reading it, it seems to have a divine feel to it. Even non-Christian scholars recognize that the words have been preserved accurately. The full message of the Bible is this: there is a God who is both loving and holy, and He offers us salvation and forgiveness when we believe by faith in Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us. He basically took the punishment that we deserve, standing in our place. You simply and sincerely accept Jesus as your Saviour by praying to God something along the lines of this: "Dear God, please forgive me. I'm a sinner. I accept Jesus as my Saviour. Help me to live my life for You." And now that you've become His child, you act like it, by going to church and living as a true follower of His.The above prayer is not a magic formula you recite. It's about a relationship with God, beginning with receiving His forgiveness through Jesus Christ. The Bible and a few other non-Biblical references point to Jesus as a real person who lived. Whether you treat Him as a myth or normal person versus as the Son of God who truly died for our sins will affect your eternal future. Believe in Him and know Him! It's not a cliche: Jesus really does love you! The classic verse still holds true--see the Bible book called John, chapter 3, verse 16 for further reading. You can look it up online in 10 seconds! Just google "John 3:16".May the Lord bless you.
Sooo... the dirty man hasn't asked for help either? Uhh.. yea, he LOVES having no house or security or a proper bed to sleep on.
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: 'I don't believe that God exists.' 'Why do you say that?' asked the customer. 'Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.' The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: 'You know what? Barbers do not exist.' 'How can you say that?' asked the surprised barber. 'I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!' 'No!' the customer exclaimed. 'Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.' 'Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me.' 'Exactly!' affirmed the customer. 'That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world.'
Maybe god is life in general....the earth trees and all the other organisms that full our vast planet. Instead of god having to be a higher form of life it could be the very enitities that allow humanity to maintain a stable life on earth.
Well sir, it's straight to h*** for you!
God? I think yes, but I think as a species we are so limited in our perceptions we just get a glimpse. Knowing the history of certain religious books you know they are man made and if they held any knowledge of a supreme being they've been twisted to fit some mortal peception of right and wrong. That sounds horribly pompous and I apologize, but I feel science doesn't completely explain everything either, and it has its own share of dogmatic zealots. Karma seems to fit things pretty well, but if it exists it would be a sentient idea or energy which has its own problems.
I've had the same conclusion for a long time. I just can't believe that 'it' was all created for 'us'. Thats pretty egotistical of humanity. We are such a little spec in time in a tiny part of space struggling to just get along and not destroy the progress we've made. We are still unable to grasp some of the rules of science. We still don't fully understand time. We're still fuzzy on atomic scale relationships. Can you grasp the idea of infinity? Some parts of the world still exist as pure hunter-gathers. Earth is a smaller place now. Information on just about anything is a search away. If anything I believe in Karma. Good begets good. Pay it forward. And the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
you are right there is no god, but there certainly is a God!
Just lve with morals or find a god within yourself.
That's your opinion.
Well, as long as believing that makes you feel better, and doesn't make you want to hurt others, I suppose go with it. As for me, I haven't heard any two people agree on exactly what or who "God" is, so I don't know if we're ever going to find out whether it exists.
