My father-in-law hit on me...gross!

Very odd situation, I have been married for close to 15 years and have a good relationship with my in-laws who live across town from us. My husband was out with our kids when he texted me that his Dad was coming over to get his auto repair tools back.

I had been having a middle-aged mom night watching some trashy house-wife tv and enjoying some chardonnay and looking forward to fooling around with Jimmy when he came home that night. The kids were going to stay at his sister's house so we could have some ** time lol.

We had even been flirt texting letting him know what I had in mind.

I was wearing my favorite yoga pants and a top that showed off his favorite assets so I pulled on one of his hoodies to be a little more discreet.

He came over and we chatted for a while and he was his usual friendly extravert self and I was in a giggly mood laughing at his jokes. He made a comment about his workout and I told him how ** muscles were. He asked me about my daughter's cheerleading try outs and I told him how it reminded me so much of my days doing cheer in high school and college. He said how I looked like I could still do it. I laughed and did a couple of my cheer leader moves. He applauded then he told me how lucky Jimmy was to have a hot wife, I laughed and told him that "mom" his wife, was pretty good too. He said he always wanted to do one of those cheer leader lifts and asked if he could lift me. I said sure not thinking he put his hands around my waist and he lifted my up quickly. Then to my suprise he spun me around and caught me then let me down slowly and we were face to face about two inches apart. I started to get uncomfortable real quick, he leaned in to kiss me and I pulled away.

He said he'd better leave now and to tell Jimmy thanks. I said I would.

I haven't told anyone and I'm not sure if I should. I feel so so awkward

  • Let him have some fun

  • This is clearly your fault and you teased him you should arrange to meet him and make it up to him

  • It sounds like you accidentally sent the wrong signals, but then you realized how he interpreted it. Honestly, no harm and no foul. Yes the bit that made it akward was him leaning in to kiss you. Maybe you guys can act like that never happened, and I’d suggest never doing any more cheer leader moves with your father-in-law.
