Walking while someone else now owns my car
I was walking from the Tag registration office after the clerk notified me that DMV records indicate I no longer own my car. It is now in someone else's name someone else owns it.
The information was crushing I no longer own the car that I owned for 17 years. I stood by the bus stop for a long time waiting for the bus I had no idea the bus had been detoured because of road construction on the bus route. I heard a familiar sound it sounded like my cars engine. I looked up and it was my car driving past the bus stop where I waited someone else was driving it. The person revved the engine several times as they passed. It was an incredible experience seeing my car drive past then watching the rear of my car accelerate rather quickly as the driver shifted through the gears the sound of the variable timing electronic cam engaging was awesome. I watched it travel down the road as someone else now commanded the gas pedal underneath their foot. My car was traveling in the direction I was forced to walk. I waited a few more minutes then started walking. When I got to the traffic light at the intersection after a short 20 minute walk my knee was hurting. When I crossed the intersection I sat behind the shopping center to rest. Then this happened, I could hear my car accelerating fast the person driving it was flooring it and shifting through the gears and revving the engine up between shifting gears when they pressed the clutch. They also revved it to the rev limiter whenever they came to a stop. The person now in charge of my car was driving around nearby going up and down the roads nearby I couldn't see it but I could hear it. I imagined they were having fun with my car revving it and racing it around. It was an amazing feeling of loss no longer owning my car but hearing someone else driving it. The person who now owned it or who ever they allowed to drive it had complete control over it. Just when I thought they had driven away I heard my car coming back closing the distance then accelerated nearby each time the driver raised the rpms higher before shifting and revved it longer and as hard as they could bouncing the rev limiter. It continued for about 20 minutes then I heard the driver stop and turn the engine off nearby. I walked around looking for it for over an hour but couldn't find it. It could have been anywhere there was apartments, a mall, shopping centers, and side roads.
