I think the biggest allure to wearing ** is the transgressive aspect of it. There's such a deeply ingrained concept of masculinity in our culture and it can feel confining sometimes. Wearing ** can be a way of acting against that rigid archetype of "the man's man." I'm speaking as a (mostly) straight man who wants to stay a man. For those with actual gender dysphoria, wearing ** may be a first step into realizing their true gender. But for those who are comfortable in their born gender, wearing ** is a fun and harmless way to step outside of the narrow cultural views of a man/woman axis. Harmless, that is, as long as they are with a partner who can understand that gender, and masculinity/femininity is not a purely black and white situation. There's a lot or room for various shades of gray in between the two extremes.

I don't get it either and I'm man that wears **. I know I like wearing them over mens. Been wearing for over close to 40 years now. I been trying to find the answer myself. The best way for me to discribe it. Is I think for me is. I like the big assortment of colors, styles, cut, fabrics and etc. I have no problems with mens underwear. I just rather have the womens. Now if you tell me why I choose womens over mens. Maybe we both know. I'm at the point were I'm just going to stop looking for answers and reasons. Just come to a understanding.
