His best friend

I've been dating a guy for a little while now who always talks about how much he loves me. I like him, but im in love with his best friend and I have been since 2nd grade. Now I'm afraid to break up with him because I've been talking to his best friend a lot since we've been dating, and I don't want to push him away.
