I have no admiration for any man or indeed anyone who fakes who they are just to appease those around them, it begs the question what else are you hiding about yourself? If you can not be yourself and stand by your words, thoughts and actions then frankly you are weak minded.
As it is professional sports in general have become highly politicised, they are the modern Rome Colloseum distracting people from what really matters and needs attention in this world and I have little respect for people who are practically creaming their underwear over their favourite teams.

Wow, it's refreshing to know that others are in the same boat. I got to work about 3 hours ago and all the guys around me are talking nonstop about NFL scores, stats, etc. I know enough to be able to hold a conversation, or at least I fake it well enough, but I really can't stand watching football. It bores me to death. However, if I don't at least know SOMETHING about it, the guys at work won't have anything to talk to me about and I'll be left out of every conversation. And yes, they'll think I'm weird. I do live in TX though :(

I'm a woman and I love football, but my husband doesn't. It's kind of funny, but it doesn't make you any less of a man because you don't follow the stereotype. Be yourself, you'll enjoy it more. :)

Dude, get over it... I also hate football and, for that matter, most other arena sports. Tell them all that you'd rather be outside doing something than inside watching someone doing something!
