I Want In

so i nailed my audition into my high school chamber choir, and now i can't wait for next year. there are only 24 people admitted to this choir every year and from what i've seen, some of the closest and best friendships in the entire school come out of it because they do so much together. some really awesome people at my school who i've never been close with before are going to be in this choir with me next year, and i really want to be friends with them and have all the amazing moments i've seen come out of this choir before. i just don't want to end up being the odd-one-out in a circle of closely-knit friends like i have before; it sucks. all i'm asking for for next year in this choir is that it turns out to be as amazing for me as i has for everyone else who's been in it before...

  • Congratulations on making it in. However, do not forget that it's always more amazing when you're on the outside looking in, and you may have a skewed view of what it actually is like. If it doesn't live up to what you've built it up as, always remember that you're not the odd one out, that it's much more likely that you thought these amazing relationships existed, but they really didn't.
