I am an atheist but I think I may raise my kids (if I have them) to be religious, because I don't want them to have ** before college. I know this is not a sure thing but I don't know how else to persuade them without deliberately scaring them. Although I guess that is an option, too.
OP here. Of course I would teach them protection, do you think I'm stupid? I still want them to have the mindset to WAIT, that is the difficult thing that I am thinking about.
I've got news for you - "religious" kids are the ones out there banging each other without informed precaution. Be straight with your kids and teach them about protection. It's unrealistic to expect abstinence up until college age. Our parents didn't wait that long and neither did their parents.
