My boyfriend is controlling

I've been dating the same boy for over a year now and he's always been very jealous. I could never build up the courage to tell my mom because I was always afraid of what she would say. I told we everything tonight and I feel great. I'm going to see a counselor soon and I'm going to deal with my problems that I should have dealt with half a year ago.
