I write my fantasy romances and share them with everyone hoping foolishly that there is a guy out there who likes me and that the stories will help him make a move. But it'll never happen, I'm just as bad as women who expect their lives to be a Meg Ryan film.

Oh you can have your Meg Ryan life! I just don't think writing about it is the way to find a guy. Because if you write too well about it... they'll think you already live that life, and are writing out of your own experience. If they read that kind of stories in the first place. So keep on dreaming: I did, and I have a bit bumpy but also bit Meg Ryan like life! (And I love her movies!)
I don't mean you should stop writing, just start doing other things you like too. (Maybe you should try to publish and your publisher evantually falls madly in love with you, or something)

Strike up a friendship where you can speak on the phone. After awhile work ** into the chatter but use your imagination to make the guy drip while he listens to you. He'll think, if she can think and write like this, what else does she know... the interest will really start from there.
