Well being too terrified to tell him something he so badly needs to hear will only lead to regret later on that you did not tell him. My ex also failed to tell me she was sorry and that she realized how detrimental what she did to me was. If I could have understood that she realized how wrong she was, maybe I could have forgiven her...but when she wrote to me two years later, I was already happily in a new, healthier, committed relationship.
