I'm not proud

He's in the army now, and EVERY DAY I tell him, and my friends, and my family, how PROUD I am to be his fiancé cause he's doing great and he was even outstanding soldier and he's in such a good unit. I'm not proud, I'm terrified. I should share his happiness for his accomplishments but I don't. I just pray every day for these years to be finally over.

  • You are waiting on him? FOOL...he is living his dream, and you are living a nightmare! Dump this stupid a******, and find a guy who you can love NOW. Unless you want to hear his stupid boring war stories for the rest of your life.

  • Despite how it feels or what you may read, the two emotions you're experiencing --- fear and pride --- are not mutually exclusive. You can be thoroughly proud of him and of what he's done and what he's doing and still be concerned about his safety and fear for his life. Don't let your dread erase what you're feeling for his accomplishment and the fact that he is, and you are, sacrificing time and comfort (and more) for the good of the country, and of the world. You are BOTH doing good things, noble things, important things, and you should both be proud, of yourselves and of one another.

    Best wishes, and THANK YOU!
