I'll catch ** for this, but here goes.
I hate when women can **/be rude/whine/say cruel things just because they're on their period. What right does that give them to have a complete social melt down at other peoples expense? We all have stress...some of us have it 24/7 not just a few days out of the month and we're not all acting like an emotional midget.
Nobody has the "right" to be cruel or rude or mean. I certainly don't excuse such behaviour but I do accept apologies when faced with pms and have given apologies knowing I have acted in an unflattering way. I used to not notice the connection but now there's no doubt, every month, the week before my period, things that don't normally get to me cause me to cry or get annoyed. I hate the feeling of being out of control, and I do everything in my power to gain control and if I do slip up I apologize. I know it's hard but try and be more understanding and aware that it is not easy.
I think most women do not enjoy these symptoms, it is just natural!
For most of us it's not because we want to act like that, we just have less control over our emotions at that time. It's called hormones. Not all women get bitchy, some cry a lot, and some don't have any emotional problems but crave certain foods. Anyway, guys, periods aren't going to go away, so whatever your opinions are about it, for your own safety just remember to keep them to yourself when your woman's going through it.
Women who say those things use their period as excuse to cover up that fact that they are really mean and rude.
I've never thought of it as an excuse, just its explanation WHY they go bat-** crazy. I'd have to remind my wife at times why shes been so bitchy lately... her approaching period. She forgets. Then tries to be even more calm about stuff.
Women who expect to be let off for bad behavior could be just the excuse kind.
