Heart Torn in Two
The two most important people in my life, my boyfriend and my best friend, had an argument several months ago. A big one. They haven't spoken to each other since, and no matter how much I've begged and pleaded with both of them to talk it out and smooth things over, they won't. So they've effectively forced me to choose between them since hanging out with one of them makes me feel disloyal to the other.
I chose my boyfriend, but now every time I see a picture of my best friend on social media, I burst into tears. It has been months since I've spoken to her or seen her in person because interacting with her feels like I'm betraying my boyfriend.
I don't understand why people can't just apologize and work things out. My heart is broken.
