Unrequired Love Letter-Letting You Go
Dearest Beloved M,
This letter has no regrets. My heart is full, like the moon, as I write this. For so long I have denied my heart the truth. As I become a woman, as I grow and change, I have realized that my God who has fashioned my heart has placed it to you. As before, this letter has no regrets. Like the sun who does not regret the light, the time has come for my love to set.
My love shall endure forevermore, but alas, my dreams of us must die. My God has denied me a future with my Beloved. And just as the moon is never full for long, I must part with my Beloved. I have endured the most exquisite pain of love and now it must end.
They say that words left unspoken are the murderers of the soul. Hopefully, my admission will save me from such a fate. I do not require deliverance from this, only peace. Peace that your life will be full of joy. Peace that the love that has blossomed within my bosom protects you like a cloak. May you find a love that shines upon you like the sun of a mid-summers day. May she love you where I am forbidden to. I pray that your life soars like the wings of a dove, and that my heart shall recover before forever.
