Well some people can become addicted to masturbation but the truth is most of us just enjoy it. There's absolutely nothing "selfish" about it besides the fact that you do it for yourself like you go to the store and buy something nice for yourself because you want to. I'm not here to say you should be having ** with other people because that's not your marriage arrangement but it sounds like the two of you are greatly repressed and spending far too much time deciding what you shouldn't do instead of talking about what you WANT to do with each other as a couple.
