I got laid off today... I am the sole breadwinner for my family. I am scared to death when I think of what's going to happen to us now... I know I'll find some way to make sure we have the necessities, but I feel absolutely worthless that I can't give my kids the Christmas they deserve... And yes, I know material things aren't that important, but how do you explain to a child who's too young to understand why Santa probably can't come this year?

I'll attest to this being a ** ** economy. I remember back when I could get a part time job almost anywhere with zero experience. Now it seems you need a ** college degree just so you can work retail. ** Obama. :P
