If you're asked to take a seat in HR in the middle of a work day
You might as well skip the tirade and walk out the door. Not really but you are history. It's really bad if you weren't expecting that to happen.
Just sit quietly and listen to what they have to say. No sense in arguing just sit there. Your mind is racing but try to stay calm. You no longer part of the scene and they have already made up their mind. No more you.
After the diatribe collect your belongings and leave with as little a fanfare as you can muster. If they have done something wrong take it to the labor board.
If you decide to take it to the labor board make sure you have a legitimate gripe against your former employer. Jobs gone but at least you'll have your say.
