I am sorry that I didn't take the time to talk to you when you called to tell me you were joining the Army. The thought that something awful may have happened to you, and that I was short with you the last time we talked makes me feel sick sometimes, even after all this time. I should have listened to you. I should have written you. I am so sorry.
I heard 'Your Body is Wonderland' this morning on the radio. It still reminds me of you, even now. I'm sorry if I ever hurt you in any way.
