If you're 18, audition the second guy for the role of boyfriend --- more than once, if needed. If he passes, hire him and fire the current one. If he doesn't, send him along and go back to the original, and wait for someone else to apply for the position.
If you're 38, it depends entirely on one of two things: (1) what you've agreed to with the boyfriend (i.e., whether or not the expressed understanding is that the relationship is one of exclusivity); or (2) if there's no agreement, what the practice has been between the two of you (i.e., whether or not both of you have acted as though the relationship is exclusive).
I suspect you already knew the right answer before you asked, dependent on your own situation, so I offer this just for context.
