It's hard to trust. Could anyone say anything that will help bring back my faith in mankind?

  • try taking a leap of faith, but be smart about it- worst case scenario: you wind up back where you started

  • wow wish there were more ppl like u out there.

  • umm... take risks but becareful dont do something ull regret if ppl have a disappointing reaction.

  • I am SO far from perfect, but I love my wife and I have been faithful to her over all these years. I love my young children and do my best to teach them values, to never be racist, and to share and do good in this world. I would do almost anything to provide for, protect, and nurture my family.

When I drive past emergency personnel tending to an accident on the side of the road, I offer a prayer for everybody. I pray for our politicians and hope they do their job well. I weep when I hear about missing children, women getting raped, and innocents getting wounded and killed by a suicide bomber.

I keep other people's secrets and keep things confidential. I wish the best for my neighbours and coworkers. I long for the peace that God will bring about in his own time.

I have friends who are in a similar boat as me, who try to juggle work and family, all the while trying to be a decent human being as they make their way in this troubled world.

Fellow traveller, I hope you can learn to trust again.

  • if u feel it's hard to trust, find someone u have always trusted your whole life and start from there

  • "To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket - safe, dark, motionless, airless - it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable."
    ~C. S. Lewis.

It is worth the risk to trust. ;-D

  • Perspective. Try exercise, try reading poetry, I'd recommend Rudyard Kipling. Don't look to others to change, instead be the change and inspire others. Carpe diem.
