I've spent all my teenage years writing

I've spent all my teenage years writing up the most perfect people in the world, and now I'm afraid I can't ever love a real person.
I think I'm actually incapable.

  • Just be you, it's the best thing you can ever do!

  • I've done the same. You're not incapable, no one is incapable of loving another. Perfection only ever exhists in your mind, once you learn to let yourself be taken by someone, it'll happen. Try writing about someone you know, whether it be platonic or not, and just let the story, poem, song, etc. just flow through. It sounds a little floopy, but it'll help you to accept real people and their flaws.

  • I know that feeling.. Generally it's all caused by a fear of intimacy and/or abandonment and the sad part is you WILL be incapable of loving a "real" person unless you deal with your actual fears.I have never truly dealt with mine and a part of me does not want to,either...It's safe this way and choosing unreachable people always gives you the best excuse..For failing, for not having tried at all..Ultimately all these can only lead to a life filled with regrets and self hatred..It doesn't have to be this way.Best wishes.
