We have been together 5 years. We haver had s** in 8 months, he hasn't slept in bed with me in over a year, we hardly see one another unless it's in passing, and when we do it's a fight. We aren't in a relationship. We are roommates, and I don't think I want to fix it anymore

  • I am in the same boat. Been with my wife for 13 years. The last time she got pregnant (our third child), I started sleeping in a different bed, at her request, because she wanted to sleep right in the middle of our bed. That was fine with me - I sleep better by myself anyway. That was over a year ago. I still sleep in my own bed, and I think we are both happier this way. Every conversation we have is about logistical things - who is in charge of which kid, what's for dinner, etc... We are roommates with children. And it will be that way until the youngest one is old enough to start taking care of herself a little.

The saddest part is, I am much happier this way. Which makes me wonder if I ever really wanted a relationship, or just a parenting and financial partner.
