My dad died so i wrote a poem
I lost my dad to cancer when i was 9 years old . I am 17 now and still grieving over him. I don't know if you can comment on here but if so, tell me what you think about this wrote this poem i wrote in his memory.
Cloudy day
Today's the day.
The cloudy day.
The day they took my dad away.
I only was 9,
Doing just fine
But then they did what they did.
I fourt
I cried
I ran away
But nothing took the pain away.
I was lost
Scared
Didn't knew what to do.
But Then one day, I found you.
You sat me down,
And said with a grin
cry my child,
It's not a sin
Let the whimpers and doubts,
Fly out of your mind,
You are a child,
You are one with your mind.
I knew it's hard,
But you'll be fine
After all,
you are only 9
9 is the age
to skip and play
Not flooding the ground
with tears of pain.
9 is the age,
To go out, have fun
Play dogs, play people
Whatever you want.
Today's the day,
I learnt to have fun
To laugh out loud
To play in the sun
Because Today's the day.
The cloudy day.
The day they took my dad away.

I'm sorry. Good poem.
So sad and such a lovely poem.
My heart goes out to those who hurt.
Submit your beautiful poems on allpoetry, it's a good website for that. I used it and submitted 300plus :)
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing your hand
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
still hurts yet I have found my way.
I feel you will be happy to know
Your little angel is grown up now
Can handle anything high or lows
But every thing I do
I always remember you...
You have written a beautiful poem for your dad each word is spoken from heart. #hugs#
