Sudden prayers make God jump.
Just re-word your promise, and say you will TRY not to do it again. Try harder, and mean it. You will feel better about yourself. I'm agnostic but I found when I set high expectations for myself and try to meet them I become a better person and I think that's what all of us aspire to.
The bible says don't make a promise to God that you might not be able to keep. Cause its better not to make that promise at all then to make one and break it. Remember this is God your promising not your best friend.
