I want to marry her

We've been together for two (almost three) years now, and our love has only gotten stronger for each other. I want to spend as much of the rest of my life as possible with her, I want to make her happy for as long as I have breath in my body, I love her.

I've secretly made a necklace from bones that I've cleaned, polished and carved, I hope that she will like it. Tomorrow is our third year anniversary and I'm going to propose to her tomorrow evening, I'm so excited! I'm nervous and giddy, I feel like I did when I first said to her that I love her, I just have to tell someone.

Wish me luck!

  • Fall in love w her each and every day, and tell her !

  • Lol When you said bones, I honestly thought it was a troll but good luck. (:

  • Bones? What is wrong with you??

  • We are both very into 'natural' crafts or whatever you want to call it, and necklaces with pieces carved from bone is a traditional gift in my culture. Anyway, she loved it and accepted on the spot, I feel on top of the world!

  • Dude......if you want her to say "yes", lose the bones and get her a ring. If you don't care what her answer is, or if you want her to run away screaming, by all means, use the bones. Seriously? Bones? Don't use them. Don't save them for her birthday or Christmas. Lose them. It may seem like a good idea, but it is NOT a good idea. No bones. NO BONES!

  • Too late! :D Seriously though, I don't understand why you would think that the person who I have been with for three years would get up and leave after I give her a hand-crafted gift, you don't even know us.

  • "A handcrafted gift"? You're s******* me, right? This is not just a thinking-of-you gesture, or an equinox present, or a harvest moon commemoration. Jesus, brother! You want her to MARRY you, to spend the rest of her life with you, and to understand that you love her more than any other? And to accomplish and evidence that, you give her . . . BONES???!? Sheesh, you're both f***** up. Not just a little odd, or quirky, or eccentric, or off-beat, or bohemian, no: F***** UP.

  • You are all so funny! I honestly didn't believe that some people think that their culture is the only one that is so called 'normal' until I saw these comments. Necklaces with pieces carved from bone or greenstone are traditional gifts where I live, you amazing me at how close-minded you are. This is a truly great reaction and response, thank you for being who you are, because it's f****** hilarious!
