My best friends died years ago

Bruce Carter and Gene Mitchell. Good ol Bruce died in 1996 and good ol Gene died in 2000. I think of them every day and no one has ever replaced them. I'm destined to die alone and friendless. Sometimes I wish it was me that had died.
