Damnit
I have been in love with my best friend for the past 5 years. I told her once but she rejected me and stayed friends. It seems i can't get past these feelings though. I get the pleasure of hearing about all her new boyfriends and everything she does with them. I get to hear about all her problems with them, and try to help her solve them so she can be happy. Sometimes it just kills me... Nice Guys Finish Last.
Done it, and it **. Wouldn't say I was in love with, arguably my best female friend, and business associate, for a few years. We'd spent a lot of time together, were great friends, and, most people did think we were together, even business friends. They'd say "you two are so in love". Yet, I'd have to hear about guys she dated, who mistreated her, the **..All of it. And I hated it.
Sometimes, if i was dating someone, I'd tell her things, to see how she reacted. Funny thing was..It was rarely good. I'd say things like "Denise and I went to wherever" and my friend would ask a million questions about did she drink too much, what about all the guys she knows.. Just trying to sandbag it, Yet, I had to listen to her "Jay and I had the best ** ever..Like put me in a trance".
Eventually, you either split from the person, or, make the move. I chose to split from her.
