Dumb mom, dumb baby?
I love my wife, but I've always known she wasn't terribly smart. She has other great qualities that make her an excellent person.
But I find myself deeply hoping that my daughter will grow up to be much smarter. I don't want my daughter growing up to be someone's future dumb-but-sweet wife.
I want her mean and smart. Meaner and smarter than me, than my wife, than anyone. I'd like her to grow up to be a take no-nonsense ball-busting corporate ** who breaks three husbands for successively larger divorce decisions and only then gives me grandchildren.

But really, if you want her to grow, keep her ego up, surround her with an educational atmosphere. Express interest in history or business communications, or higher sciences. Start saving now hor her education if you think that its so great.
