Was I a hero, a loser or a bit of both?
I was standing up on the school bus on my way home. There was a short stocky girl in front of me. OK two boys thought it would be funny to shove me into this girl. She was minding her own business just like I had been.
The two boys began shoving me into the "fat" girl in front of me. I fought back grabbing the sides of the bus seats and bracing myself in such a was so that they could not push me into her. I would have succeeded had not this punk much larger than me and more athletic etc joined in the shoving. I still tried with everything I had to protect the girl in front of me but I was slipping..
The girl finally noticed and just looked at him. Since she was a girl and might tell on him he quit. Had this not happened he would have over powered me and succeeded in shoving me into her.
The guy in my post was dangerous. He had once held a guy down in a parking lot and carved his initials into him with a knife. He belonged to a gang and the police needed to arrest him but that never happened.
The girl thanked me saying how strong I was and what a gentleman I was but I didn't feel so great about myself.
Yes I was decent enough to try to help the girl but I almost failed.

You're a hero. Not a loser. The losers are the guys that kept trying to push you onto that girl.
