Many years ago I watched a TV program about human interactions with one another. They said that during an argument or discussion the loser breaks eye contact either out of fear or they got convinced their opponent was right.
I decided to try this theory out on a five year old girl whose family was a family friend of my parents. The little girl knew me but not that well.
She was sitting on the couch when I looked at her and said Cmere. She smiled nervously and shook her head no. I avoided eye contact with her and said cmer. She said no but this time I gestured with my ** and said yes. The child became interested and had her ** pointed. I repeated cmere and she avoiding looking at me said while gesturing with her ** no. Continuing to avoid her eyes I said softly yes. She said no.
I was not sure about what this experiment had proved but I do know the child was enjoying herself and her power of saying no.
I then growled at her and we played chase. She won the game and we both were entertained.
