Spade is mad that they're called a spade
One of my friends is really obsessed with a game company to the point they have blocked everyone who dares to (rightfully) criticize the company's bad decisions... on their fan account for one of the company's games. I understand mass blocking on your personal account, but if you're running a fan account, shouldn't you be impartial to opinions from the fandom?
Today the friend discovered that they are apparently banned from a forum for the game for being a "white knight", and they apparently feel left out because of that fact. The "white knight" epithet is not inaccurate. When you close your ears and go bluhbluhbluh towards valid criticism (not even towards yourself, it's towards a thing you like) instead of considering other people's points of view, of course people are gonna call you a bootlicker. Additionally, their fan account isn't exactly small for them to feel ostracized by the fandom, their account is in fact one of two or three major fan accounts in the fandom. So... womp womp, buddy. Welcome to fandom where we can't all agree with one another all the time.
