The guy wasn't wearing steel toed shoes.
I used to do construction work before I retired. We had a rule that you had to wear steel toed shoes to work. We had a work agency that provided workers and they were told beforehand about our companies rule. My black co manager told a black guy he couldn't work with us because he wasn't wearing steel toed shoes.
The black guy being told this pulled out a .2 cal handgun and emptied it into our foremans chest which failed to hit a vital organ. He pulled a knife on the gunman and stabbed him several times with me trying to get him to quit. It didn't work the gunman was stabbed several times in the throat and died.
Precious memories that one is not.Years later I still have a clear image of that in my mind.
