Very odd dream about my mother...
I had this strange dream a few days ago...
In the dream my mother (who is 35 years old and she looks like Sigourney Weaver) was a cowgirl captured by Indians, who dragged her towards a wooden pole, while they were preparing to tie her up. Some Indians took off her hat, her cartridge belt and even her boots, leaving her barefoot.
At that point these Indian warriors began to pile up brushwood and bundles of dry branches under and around my mother's bare feet; by now the intentions of those braves were clear: burn her to death! Meanwhile my mother, who was trying to stay calm, kept repeating that she had no bad intentions and she was not their enemy.
None of these words had the desired effect, for as soon as the Indians had finished with the wood they lit the fire and started dancing around my mother.
At that point my mother began to show fear and concern on her face, aware of the fact that it was probably over for her.
The wood burns and crackles, more and more, and my mother struggled to stand with her bare soles above the branches that gave off flames, tormenting the skin of her helpless feet; all while she retreated, writhing, with her back against the pole, with the vain hope of distancing the heat of the fire a little.
Meanwhile the Indian warriors danced and shouted more and more frenetically and noisily; rejoicing and enjoying my mother's suffering as she slow roasted, and now she too was "dancing" on embers and flaming twigs.
Although she still tried to maintain a courageous attitude (she didn't even utter a cry or a request for mercy), her sweaty face showed more and more fear and her teary eyes sadness; at a certain point there was a blaze that released a large wisp of smoke, which forced my mother to turn her face up to the left, gritting her teeth and squinting her eyes. By now the fire was on the verge of engulfing her feet and legs, as she continued to writhe, starting to become moribund, at that point I woke up.
I don't know why I had this dream, I can't find any explanations, but it's really strange.
