Don't Make the Same Mistake
Don't be scared to back out of a marriage engagement. I had second thoughts during my engagement and really started to think I was too young to have a husband, but my fiance was having serious depression problems and I didn't want to hurt him by breaking it off.
A couple of years later, I really wish I'd had the chutzpah to call off the wedding. It's not that I don't love him. It's just that marriage is very, very final.
All of you engaged people who may be having second thoughts, it doesn't matter how much money you've already spent on planning the wedding. It doesn't matter how long you've been together. It doesn't matter how excited all your friends and family are for you. It doesn't matter how much it's going to hurt. If you're not in it all the way, don't do it! You'll regret it.
