It is sad that people do not accept us for who we are. That is their loss. My thought to you is that when you can accept yourself - the need for external acceptance is not as important. My next thought to you would be that maybe the town you live in is just that...a town that you live in... as maybe you have not yet found the place that you will eventually call your 'home town'. A place where you can be open accepted and simply yourself. Never lose sight of the fact that such a place does exist and with time and faith you WILL find it.
