Evolution vs Creation(Intelegent

Evolution vs Creation(Intelegent Design).

Which one is right?
Can anybody tell me?

I was taught Creation as a child, but learned evolution in school. And both make good points in my view.

  • HEY people. guess what we live in a country where we can believe in what ever we want to. Who said we all have to think the same?

  • believe what you wish, spirituality is a good thing. However, use logic to explain your surrounding. Ignorance isn't bliss people. It's sad that organized religion has the wool pulled over so many people's eyes. it controls masses of people who think they are securing eternal salvation, when really they supporting greed and power of these lying institutions.

  • for the guy who believes in creation with the list of questions...where did God come from?

  • I can understand the points of some of the creation posts, but I believe in evolution. There is undeniable proof of evolution. Why do we have an appendix? Humans may have needed the organ at one time, but ask yourself, will humans still have this organ 500 years from now? Who knows! Why do men have nipples? What purpose do they serve? Why do whales have hind-leg bones? The human tail bone? Wisdom teeth? Come on, we are still evolving!

  • I don't know what I believe for this. I believe humans evolved from something, but in my mind we also had to be created by something. I don't believe in god, however,I believe there is something there. Some stornger being or life form. I think I just confused myself. Interesting topic.

  • creation. Period

  • wow thats a f****** s*** load of comments...... but I say evolution.

  • The person above me has got to be the stupidest person alive. As a matter of fact the two commenters above are both very misguided. Evolution is the biggest religion to date. You guys take Macro evolution and try to prove Micro evolution when the facts are not one piece of scientific evidence points or shows that one species evolved into another. And that in itself destroys evolution and makes it an American and British folklore. God is not in charge of evolution because it's a man made fantasy. If evolution was true it would coincide with the Bible the same way that Creation and modern science does. How about this the next person who writes evolution how about answering some of the questions posed by one of the above commenters. He gave about 26 good questions that no evolutionist can answer. And I don't want to here there's answers. If they are find them and post them. I'm a scientist and I deal with micro organisms everyday and every new discovery we come across we find some reference to it in the Bible. So I welcome anyone who thinks they can challenge me. I have many colleagues who only say they believe in evolution to keep the funding for their research but we all know that evolution is a joke.

  • Evolution is fact. You can watch micro-organisms evolve in a test-tube. Look at all the diseases in the world how they are becoming resistant to antibiotics. This is also evolution. I was also raised in the church- have gone away from it now- but please...the Bible doesn't explain everything, and you cannot take it literally. The creation story is Jewish folklore. Every religion has its own creation story. God gave us brains to learn and discover, find our own answers, and think for ourselves. Please do not dismiss the vast amount of tested, documented, concrete scientific evidence just because it is not written in the book of Genesis. If you need God in the picture, just accept that God is in charge of evolution. Theistic-evolution.

  • Wow. The ignorance is astounding. Anyways.. evolution is mostly adaptation to your surroundings, and since lifeforms really don't have the means to travel very far, they adapt to the surrounding around them, and other lifeforms adapt to the surrounding around them in a different place. The might end up competing for the same resource, or they might just find that feeding on the competition turns out to be easier. Sometimes a lifeforms just flourishes because another lifeform failed to adapt(changing weather patterns, over using its food source, anything like that), creating a vacuum for the other to move into.

As for that long list of questions, I could actually answer a lot of them, and I'm not a trained scientist. I just paid attention in school. The questions about matter and stuff like that... we just haven't had the time to understand all types of rules and laws that govern our world. Quantum mechanics seem to be reverse of our normal rules like gravity or absolute zero, or speed of light. We are only recently grasping the idea of dark matter. Black holes still confuse us. But like our generations before us, we keep learning more and more. When you decide to accept 'Creation', how can you move on to learn more? If they decided to stop at Creation back in the 1700s, how would we know how a simple magnet works today? You don't see any forces at work, but today we have equipment that can.

Why would a Creator make 1.4 billion different lifeforms? Why would a Creator insert millions more into the geological record? Why is there millions of different types of krill? A whale doesn't care, they just find them tasty. We've seen many types of animals die out in just the last century, sometimes due to a new predator being introduced to a area that natural geographical used to keep out.

I shouldn't have to defend evolution. Can Creationism be defended too? What proof can you show me? I can show geological records, I can show cause and effect, and sometimes even scientist are surprised when they discover something new. But then they set out to think why its like that, or use scientific process to try to understand it. A Creationist just accepts it as 'divine creation'? That seems like a willing to be ignorant just because you haven't had the groundwork education to understand anything. Its like a child refusing to do homework just because they've been slacking behind the class and the effort will be twice as hard to catch up.

Now, I'll admit anyone has a right to religion and can worship whoever they want. God, Allah, Ganesha, Nothingness, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Feel free to preach for them, but don't take away my right to an education which is free of the taint of any religious influence.

  • To the submitter of this question.

The answer to this debate is in the Bible. God speaks about this in 1 Cor 1:19-23

"1Co 1:19 For it is written, I will destroythe wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothingtheunderstanding of the prudent.
1Co 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe?where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleasedGod by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1Co 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; "

God clears states that he will destroy the wisdom of this world, and that's what evolution is. Every quote on quote educated person supposedly believes in evolution because to the world it makes sense. He says he will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. In other words he's going to disprove anything that opposes his will. He says "the world by wisdom knew now God" meaning that because of the wise thinkings of evolution and the carefully thought out but wrong theory of evolution, people who believe it will not know the true Messiah Jesus Christ. Then he goes on to say that "it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe". So you see that even though people think it's crazy to believe that God created the world in 7 days and that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, only by believing can you be saved.

God will prove himself and when he does don't be standing with the wise men who believe in evolution.

  • Hey how come none of the people for evolution gave any examples of why they believe in it. They only pass of Creation as folk tales or not true. For the people who are saying evolution how about answering just one of the questions asked by the above commenter for creation.

It seems like the people who are saying evolution are just sheep following the wolf of a cliff and don't have the brains to know that they are going to die.

  • My problem is not that evolution is fake and unproven, if you want to believe something not true go right ahead, just don't try and force me to believe it or tell me it's fact when cleary every piece of evidence says othewise

  • Hands down it's Creation.
Evolutions a mockery of science and should be stricked from all text books in schools.

  • Creation

  • It's easy to think othewise. One of the above comments alone disproves the whole entire piece of crap theory of evolution

  • To the commenter who asked all the questions-- You mentioned you debated this topic. Where can I attend these debates? I would love to see how an evolutionist combats every single one of those questions. I think evolution is a pegan religion made up by people who would like nothing more than to not have to answer to GOD himself. Not only that but the very science that they believe in proves divine creation more and more. Oh and by the way great points on why people still believe evolution.

Would it be ok to contact you via email for more info on this subject.

  • OP, look what you've started!

  • Evolution, how could you think otherwise? F***.

  • Creation.

  • Once again, evolution.

  • Shut the f*** up douchebag.

    Darwin is in h***.

  • Evolution.

  • creation.

  • I'm a strong believer in evolution, but I can see how some people can believe in Creationism, sort of. I say evolution has more going for it in the way of evidence, etc. but ultimately, until (and that's even if) either can be COMPLETELY proven or disproven, it's up to everyone to decide for themselves.
