Also, managers make people come in sick regardless of how infectious they are. Coughing, diarrhea,vomiting, runny nose--if you call in sick they write you up.
So if the person making your drink speaks hoarsely, is covered in a thin layer of sweat, and sniffing Congrats! You're the next victim of Starbucks' attendance policy. Enjoy your influenza!
I worked at Albertson's when I was 18 and they made me come in with the flu. I actually had to run to the bathroom and throw up in the middle of checking out a ladies groceries and they made me come back and finish the order. The lady looked disgusted. I had to stay and finish my shift and I called in and quit the next day. I think it's actually more common than you would think...
