IGotsAQuestion

I've been going to church regularly all my life and I just sorta have one random question. Is it possible to be a christian and still believe in ghosts?? I've always sorta believed that ghosts are real and some lost souls really do stay on earth. I just don't know if it is considered wrong to be a christian and believe in them.

    • Technically no. The bible doesn't refer to ghosts in the sense that we speak of them today. The bible also doesn't talk about **; you can thank Dante for that. Regardless, ghosts exist in much the same way as Leprechauns and Unicorns; they don't.

    • I'm also just going to add to that last comment that if you have been a christian for a while, you may be becoming aware of your spiritual gifts. One spiritual gift talked about in scripture is discernment of spirits (see Corinthians) which may be what you are experiencing. You may be feeling or seeing demonic or angelic presences. The spirit realm is very real and scripture also tells us 1) that He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and a sound mind 2) that we are each to work out our own faith in fear and trembling before the Lord, so whatever the rest of christitans are telling you, ask the Lord. He'll answer for sure, and He's the ultimate authority.
