You must read this book!

I'm almost finished "Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other" by Sherry Turkle. It's nice to know someone else is paying attention to the shift in our society. As a society we crave the connection to each other yet allow technology to act as a buffer as an excuse to deal with people when you want, on your terms. But it's making us less empathetic to each other. Watch the movie Wall-E and that's where we are headed.

  • This is neither a confession nor a revelation. All anyone needs is two open eyes and a half-functional brain to see all of that. Which, of course, is why no one does see it and you think you're some sort of sage.

    Bring on the meteor.
