So I completely forgot about posting this. Wow. Nearly 8 years ago. At the time I was in a real dark place, and was too lazy to actually articulate what I was feeling, so I made the post I did. But it's amazing to me how many of y'all who have commented had nothing better to do than to go to a website where people share, in anonymity, the things that make them feel vulnerable, and make them feel worse about it than they already do. Like I mean I honestly couldn't give a ** what y'all think, primarily because I'm a vastly different person now than I was then. But like, don't use going around spreading toxicity and hate as therapy for your own self-contempt. The primary state of the human condition is tragedy and agony. For everyone, not just yourself. I had to realize that. The sooner some of you realize it, the better off you all will be.
Let's also acknowledge that suicide is a genuine public health concern that everyone should be concerned about because it affects everyone. You might not feel suicidal, but your brother, mother, sister, father, aunt, uncle, or grandparents might be (suicide is also disproportionately observed in the elderly, not just the gays, so). And generally, most reputable studies agree that somewhere between 20% and 40% of all homeless minors in the United States identify as LGBTQ, so I'd say the disproportionate suicide rates among ** youth and ** people in general is unquestionably correlated to social stigma. Tell someone they're worthless enough times and they believe it.

"Time to grow the ** up!!" I'm gonna just leave this here for anyone for anyone who wants things to get better in their own lives, and the lives of those around them. And for anyone who is interested in actually taking the first steps to becoming an adult, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. Peace all.
Wow I can't even say q u e e r because it's a "bad word" oooooo spooky. You see this part of the problem. It's an expression of stigma
Many str8 people get told they're worthless every single day. Apparently their pain doesn't count, because they're not gay.
Now that being gay is mainstream, a lot of you queers are going to have a very hard time in life. Your entire raison d'etre is to be Edgy and Different and Dramatic!!!!!!! And now you're just another ** who prefers ** over **, big freakin' deal. Man, that must ** you freaks out.
Is that why your suicide rates are so high? Because you're either a poor marginalized little victim or a member of the establishment who doesn't get attention for being quirky anymore? Well, too bad. Time to grow the ** up!!
Gotchu a bit of a reply, just in case you hadn't noticed. You're the special one that my email notification pop up and remind me I posted this. It's kinda pointless to raise ** on a post that's 8 years old, just so you know.
Look around the site, it happens all the time. What's truly pointless is to maintain an email notification for an 8-year-old post from when you were "in a dark place". Talk about "special"...
Go to a gay bar or an online website that caters to homosexuals. You should have no problem finding a homosexual other half.
Never heard such ** in all my life! If you end up alone, it won't be because you're gay. If you're the only gay person for miles, I would seriously recommend relocating. Of course, if you're still at school (who knows? you never said), then just focus on getting through that part of your life - you won't find more than a handful of socially tolerant individuals under a certain age.
Honey, It's always gonna be hard, but you'll never be alone.
You are just in the wrong area. You need a change & to realize there are a lot of people just like you, that would love you, if you just look a little harder...
But then he can't be a drama queen!!! WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAAAAAAAAND *sob sob*
Being straight is no guarantee you won't, if that helps
