Jealous

I get jealous when My boyfriend's family is being supportive of him because my parents don't like or care about me. Their favorite and golden child is my twin sister. Even though I'm in a great relationship, and made dean's list (which she did not) and got an awesome job, I still never measure up. Is it bad that I feel this way?

  • I hate feeling jealous. it eats you up alive inside ..
    I feel for you

  • It's not bad to feel jealous. You should consider talking to your parents about them favoring your younger sister which isn't right at all. Your parents shouldn't favor anyone. They should love you both the same. And if not, then their people who shouldn't have chilren. I'm not judging your parents in any way, shape, or form, I'm just saying that they shouldn't favor just your sister. If you talk to them, maybe they will stop favoring your sister, and love you both the same.

  • Is it jealousy you feel? Are you sure that's not the label everyone else places upon you for feeling a certain way?

  • No , no one is telling me that I'm jealous. I recognize the feeling I get as jealousy. I'm not angry, but I'm not completely sad either.

  • Not bad. Sadly you are on your own. Don't ever let yourselfthink that they will help you when you are down

  • Its not bad. Every family has this problem. I know that my brother was my grandma favorite grandchild out of all of us. Just look at it as your twin sister will never be as good as you in life(good job, good grades, etc.). They have to treat her better than you so that she wont feel like s***. Shes the underdog in reality if it makes you feel better.
