Why can't people make up their own minds?
I don't understand why Christians always say that each person has to decide whether or not to accept jesus, and then get mad and offended if you tell them you've looked at the evidence and still don't believe what they do. Do they respect peoples right to make up their own minds or not?
Because they want to come off as loving and accepting, but as any non-Christian knows, that is all VERY flimsy window dressing. The nanosecond you show the slightest disagreement with anything they attempt to shove down your throat, their true selves emerge and they start whining about "persecution."
Short answer, No. They do NOT have any respect.
** Jesus and ** all of u for sticking ur head in the sand
Who cares Jesus is irrelevent what other ** do still cling onto from the Bronze Age ? Do u still go on which hunts?
What if the issue is not our accepting Jesus ... what if the issue is that Jesus has accepted us?
As a Christian, I know that I would get sad and disappointed if I fail to convince somebody the truth of God, but I wouldn't be mad or offended. Jesus will return one day and take those who accept him with him. Most christians just don't want you left behind.
You said "I don't understand why Christians always say that each person has to decide whether or not to accept jesus"
So it sounds like you agree that the Christians do say that "everyone has to make up their own mind". That's good. I agree with you and it sounds like Christians on the whole agree with you too.
And then they get mad. Hmm I can imagine them getting a bit sad or even continue to try to argue their point of view. But mad. ?
Yes, mad. Open your fool eyes!
Some religiot came at me one time with one of their badly-printed, badly-spelled little tracts, with this glowing smile on his face. The moment I smiled a bit and shook my head, his expression changed into near-psychotic rage.
Freaked me out, but I can't say I was surprised.
