i tell people that you made me choose

i tell people that you made me choose between pursuing an education and being with you. i know it's a lie. i know i shouldn't say it, but it hurts too much to accept how it really ended and what you really did to me. i'm willing to accept that i'm going to be beginning all of my future relationships with a lie... if it means never having to verbalize the truth of how you broke me.
