okay. well, i have this guy- friend

okay. well, i have this guy- friend that i like a little bit, but he is my best friend's ex. she said it would be okay, but i also don't know if he likes me back. and we act as if we are brother and sister. so, should i ask him out, or wait to find out that he likes me? oh, and he knows that i like him.
