Did her mom get really good grades too? What are you afraid of? What about when you can't measure her by education and grades? It'll be okay then?
I'd be worried about the drinking and the physical addiction that can go with it. You can kick all the ritual associations that weed links to relaxation in two weeks. Smoking it isn't good for you, but weed does provide relief for some health issues. Alcohol? Nope.
