I'm in love with my sister I guess.
She isn't my sister by any relation she has just been there for me more than anyone else. Growing up my family kind of abandoned me and things happened to me that cause me nightmares to this day. When she came into my life, she was immediately there for me and she became my sister. I say I'm in love with her as in I am literally dumbfounded in love with this girl as she is amazing in every way and it gets worse because I have this weird feeling that she feels the same as well. I honestly don't know where I'm going with this I just need to admit that I love her, even if nothing could ever happen.
Fortify and talk to her. Unless you two grew up together ("joint at the hip" kind of deal) and helped raise each other, I don't see how this could be awkward. If you're that close and important to each other it shouldn't damage your current relationship.
Try telling her, lay your cards out and see her reaction, you might like it.
