I feel nothing sometimes
I've been working for over 17 years and I'm still not very far along in my career. I'm not inspired to do anything, and I'm underpaid for what I can do. I know I should be grateful for a job, but I'm so sick and tired of working for **.

Join the club. Like you said your fortunate to even be employed in this day and time. The economy's lousy and raises are few and far between as are jobs in some places.
Be grateful.. But always strive for better days
