Why?

He hasn't been worth my time since I met him. And despite all his wails about "love", he hasn't had the guts to reach out-- he pours all his energy into playing the victim for as big a crowd as possible instead. How is that the least bit "lovable"? That kind of manipulation only works on teenage girls and people recovering from massive head injuries.
