Belated Christmas present

I was a bit high at a bar when I tried to strike up a conversation with a woman sitting nearby. She was uninterested in me and wanted to be left alone. I stupidly persisted and she said she was leaving. She did leaving me feeling like an idiot.

This was my first time in that bar which was not convenient to me or interesting. I said I'm going to make it up to her. My Christmas present t her is that she will never see or hear from me again for as long as she lives.

I paid up and left. I never returned.
